Beautiful people at Qutub - Monochrome
« on: March 07, 2015, 04:17:42 PM »
Hello all, had the chance to visit Qutub Minar last month finally after years of living in Delhi :P. Didn't click much of the monument, I spent more time clicking the people there. It was good to see people coming from different social and cultural background at one place and getting mesmerized by the beauty of skilled craftsmanship. Would appreciate the c&c from you.

Very nice series and the choice of monochrome also gives it a 'street photography' tag. Hints of the monument and the surrounding adds value too.

Thank you vinod ji, I find it really difficult to capture monuments, I don't know why it never goes the way I plan a night before. :P

Good to see someone from Delhi .......... :).........
It's time we guys from the North ganged up and create a chapter, plenty of guys from Delhi here, someone has to take the initiative and plenty of learning can accrue.

Loved the pics Pic 2 is my fav too. The B&W tone has gone rather well in this series, were these shot originally in B&W or was the rendering done in post?

I too join the chorus in requesting an indepth of your PP process please?
Cheers!

Lovely set of images.. Monuments, especially like the Qutub Minar has been photographed to death. Your decision of clicking the people there was a very good one. Loved the way you captured the emotions.

ps- Another candidate here for learning the PP.

Apologies for replying a bit late. Thank you everyone for liking the images and your appreciation.  Actually I went there to click the mighty Qutub only but found nothing interesting as it has been shot like million times in past. I instantly decided to shoot people and process it in B&W since the ambient light was really harsh around 3-3:30 in the evening. I would definitely put up my workflow for these images in a separate post either tonight or tomorrow.
