Simple test for monitor calibration
« on: February 07, 2014, 02:26:46 PM »
1. Your monitor must be calibrated and profiled.

2. Open image in photoshop. After editing

3. Convert to srgb with black point compensation on.

4. Soft proof to MONITOR PROFILE.

3. If your monitor is Properly calibrated, there will very little change in color and brightness of the image.

Your thoughts welcome. Pl ask  clarification if any.

Mukund I have seen your involvement in almost every discussion on color calibration, color space and profiling while JJMPF...You seem to have got these tricky concepts very well in your head :) It will be great if you can write a series of tutorial about these concepts and describe different steps involved to get them right..importantly in their order of occurence- starting from Capturing to Printing.
Thanks :)
