Beautiful pictures, both of them!

I somehow like the first one more. I think it is because in the second tighter shot, my eyes are arrested by three of the four in-focus circular areas, but after fixing my eyes there the composition offers no obvious point of further interest. On the other hand it is not tight enough to be completely abstract.

In the first one the DOF has enough points of interest (again IMHO).

When I look at it tomorrow, I might have a totally different opinion about which one I like more and why  :) .

Very Well done! Especially the first image, the colors in the image are really very eye-catching.
