New feature suggestions
« on: January 07, 2014, 04:45:40 AM »
I am still looking for ways in which I could add more attractive options to have a better user experience. As I can see, the chat box and add to favourites seem to be a good start. Like any software it's always a compromise between speed and efficacy and the number of features. For a short while Let's see if we can come up with ideas. I cannot promise to implement all, maybe not even a fraction, but a constructive discussion can be had. And even if 1 or 2 very useful addons can be identified it would be useful.
Thanks.

Apart from various features and options,
We may take this forum more useful to everyone adding the Review. A product review domain with product as sub domain so that everyone can benefit and know the pros and cons. IMO, one thread for each item. And we will let it grow as biggest reviewers den.

Good morning Doc. I have a small suggestion. Can we please incorporate like button in each post? Even if someone may not like to make comment but can press the like button to show/her endorsement, in FB 'ishtyle'.

Review section sounds good as Pankaj suggests.

Also, what about showing when the OP was posted, like - 'Started by LIGHTWAVE on 5/01/2014'

Just wanted to check up on a member, could not locate him, hence. a member list somewhere would be nice too, also a gentle nudge for all to post their intro's on the thread for the same would help too and also give some more feelers to those trying to 'Buy n Sell', just speaking aloud.......

Rgds,

Sorry! I stand corrected, the feature exists already. :) the gentle nudge bit still stands :)

Just perused a post by Pankaj ji wherein he has posted a link to check canon service status online. I thought this to be a neat link, however, with time it'll be buried deep in other posts and not visible enough to be of any use.

Thinking  aloud :
A separate menu for Service and a submenu--------Canon/Nikon , a sub sub menu--------Tips, Links, Issues etc.

I don;t know if I am making any sense here. :-\

My JJMF username was simv (easy for me to login) and display name was chillumbaba. My login here is the same but it is same as display name. Can I change it from the settings? Will explore the settings once more, been a busy week for me.

Edit - Done!

Anil ... I had suggested it in JJMPF but it never did get attention. I am a member of another Forum which uses the same format (Simple Machines) and these are the Smileys they have .....

Guess PCI can give it a thought.  ;)
